One book that I recently finished was Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I enjoyed reading this book because it was full of suspense and drama. I had read the first two books of the triliogy and was anxious to read the last to see how the series ended. I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars because I really liked reading it. This has become one of my favorite books because of the cliff-hangers and the unexpected suprises. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy reading science fiction and dystopian novels or if you are a young adult.
The author wrote the book in a way that adds suspense and conveys the theme without giving it away. It also is written in 1st person point of view which helps readers understand what is happening through the eyes of someone living in that world. It also enables them to go on a journery with one of the main characters. Without being written in 1st person, the book would be missing key points and the story line would be a little different.
I have read this book and it's so good and I agree with everything that you said about the suspense of the trilogy.
ReplyDeleteShould I read this book? I don't know... I've always been wary of reading it because a lot of my friends say it's boring and pretty much the same thing as "Catching Fire"...
ReplyDeleteI read the first two books of the trilogy and they were very entertaining. I attempted to read the third but the beginning just didn't have a large enough hook to really pull me into the story. Maybe I should try reading it again because of all the wonderful things that you have written.
ReplyDeleteI have only read the Hunger Games and not the other two books in the series. Perhaps I should try reading them and go on that journey with the main character!
ReplyDeleteI read the first book of the trilogy, The Hunger Games, and thought it was really hard to put down because of the suspense. Maybe I should try reading Catching Fire and Mockingjay--I've heard they're action-packed novels and your review sounds like they would be worth reading.
